Rare Vintage Patek Philippe Aquanaut | Ref. 5065J | Over Size 38mm | Black Dial | 18K Yellow Gold
Here we have a rare exceptional example of a preowned vintage over size 38mm Patek Philippe aquanaut in 18K yellow gold with a black deep grenade pattern dial as it was in the 90s and early 2000s before the aquanaut dials adopted a shallower pattern in modern production. This model features a sapphire crystal case back. Dial features gold colour Arabic numerals and tritium baton hour markers with matching gold hands with tritium infill. Dial and hands are original on this examples and have not been changed. Everything on this watch looks absolutely mint, from dial, hands to case and clasp, it has rarely been worn over the years and the original finish has been well preserved which sets this exact watch aside from the very few examples available in the world online. Yes, very few examples available and the reason is because this is the over size 38mm 5065J. This watch followed the rare original model 5060 35.6mm which was slightly smaller and is believed to be limited to around 1000 pieces (non official figures) however the 5065J as seen here is known to be limited to a much smaller quantity and is the first one to have a sapphire crystal case back and an over size case.
