Pre-owned and presented in excellent condition, this rare Vacheron Constantin Lady Kalla, reference 17701, dates to circa the 1980s and is crafted entirely in 18k Yellow Gold.
The rectangular dial is fully set with baguette-cut diamonds and finished with miniature yellow gold dauphine hands, allowing the diamonds to remain the focus of the design.
Measuring 19.5mm across, the case is framed by five tiers of graduated emerald-cut diamonds, with the largest stones positioned around the centre of the dial. The case flows seamlessly into an articulated 18k Yellow Gold bracelet, formed of a further 32 rows, each set with three emerald-cut diamonds that gradually taper towards the concealed clasp.
Including the case, bracelet and clasp, the remarkable grid-like construction comprises 37 rows and is set with a total of 108 emerald-cut diamonds, excluding the diamond-set dial. The open framework remains visible form the reverse, revealing the intricate gold structure supporting each individual stone.
A concealed winding crown is discreetly positioned on the caseback, preserving the uninterrupted lines of the diamond-set exterior. With sapphire crystal glass. The watch is powered by a manual-winding movement, and both the case and movement are signed Vacheron Constantin.
